What do you do when you walk into one of Sydney’s grooviest restaurant spaces (Kitchen by Mike), crammed in like sardines with 200 people and half of them are names on your cookbooks?

Tonight was the ABC delicious. Magazine’s Produce Awards for 2014 and the SAGE Farmers Market was one of the three national finalists for Outstanding Farmers’ Market of the year, alongside Koondrook Bahram Farmers Market and the Slow Food Melbourne Abbotsford market.
It was an incredible event and, much to our genuine amazement, we won.
From the moment it was announced, through making our way through that sardine-packed crowd, to standing on stage speaking to a sea of attentive faces (don’t ask us what we said, only vague recollections remain)… it was a realisation that what our community has achieved has been recognised at a national level by people that shape the industry and understand what it is that we’re doing.
